World Suicide Prevention Day: Why you should take a minute to change a life

I wrote this article on National Be Late For Something Day – quite apt as I am up against the clock in getting it over in time for publication. In amongst all the fun and whacky national days, uncomfortably sits World Suicide Prevention Day on Sunday, September 10.

I have unwittingly become an expert on the subject of suicide after my Dad sadly took his life while suffering from depression. I then experienced my own mental health problems resulting in attempting to take my life in my early 20s, and then last year a good friend killed herself after suffering post-natal depression.
